Well, the good news is that I gained zero pounds. The bad news is that I lost zero pounds. This should totally be a win for me given how I ate over the last week, but consider this:
- two weeks ago I weighed in - down two pounds
- one week ago I did not weigh in, though I had been going to the gym for the week leading up to it faithfully and eating well also so I can only anticiapte I lost my traditional two
- Yesterday I weighed in the at the same weight I brought in two weeks ago
I can assume one of two things here. One, I lost two pounds and then gained them back over my weeklong vacation. Two, I didn't lose any weight at all and only maintained. I'll be honest, my preference is option #1. I prefer that because at least then I know it was isolated and can manage it through diet and exercise. If it's option #2, then i'm plateauing and will need to find ways to change what i'm doing in order to continue my losing trend (OMGWORK!!!). The silver lining on option #2 is that I can at least say that I am capable of balancing eating good stuff with bad stuff to maintain. Still, those two together still aren't as good as option #1 from my point of view. We'll see about it by Monday though.
In other news, yesterday I was crushing it at the gym. Cardio day. I could not get winded. I was doing HIIT stuff too - 2:30 at 80 RPM, :30 at 90 RPM, 2:00 at 70 RPM, rinse, repeat. That felt really good. I can't wait to see what I do today.
