What is this blog about?

What is this blog about? It started as a sort of journal about the journey I thought I was taking - one of weight loss. You see, my wife inspired me to finally change my ways, get off the couch and start working on being healthy. I'm selling it short, but that's the gist of it. In any case, the efforts I made to lose weight resulted in developing a love for fitness, and I've decided to carry on with it.

WHEW! (-2#)

One of the things that I don't talk about is that I do in fact weigh in almost daily.  I only record on Mondays so I have a process that I can work around.  I could record daily I guess, but that seems like a lot of hassle, and there really is more up and down than when you do week to week.  A pretty normal pattern is weigh in on Monday, down 3 by Thursday, up one on Sunday, weigh in again the following Monday for a net loss of 2.  That's another reason I wait - too many changes during the week, it's better just to do it once.  In any case, there was zero movement at all last week.  I was goingg crazy worrying about it all week.  Why wasn't the weight coming off any more?  I changed stuff at the gym like you're supposed to!  So I turned to diet, cut down on some daily calories (Dear creamer in my coffee - i shall miss you!).  Maybe it was just a fluke.  Maybe the scales were off.  Maybe my sudden calorie cut the morning of weigh in fixed everything?  Yeah, right.  Whatever it was, I still lost my 2.  I'll take it.  I'll be pushing diet hard from here on in though cuz that was just too fucking close.
